It’s October and I’m in a skirt. I think this is evidence that if you keep your fingers crossed for long enough old man winter will keep itself at bay for a few more weeks. I’ve started to stock up sweaters—multiple grey ones—in preparation for the harsh, windy season that is ahead. A friend of mine complained how as soon as the cold weather hits everyone starts retreating to grey, black and white fashions. I live in these shades—yes all 50—yearlong so perhaps this shift isn’t so dramatic in my eyes.
I’m becoming increasingly drawn to the idea of mixing patterns and textures while staying true to my minimalist ways. Using a monochromatic color palette is a great place to start when you are first mixing it out, keeps things cohesive but still lots of room to experiment.
Currently back on campus and officially ready to graduate nonetheless. Ironically I shot these photos behind our ever-expanding engineering buildings because my neighbourhood lacks any sort of curb appeal. Of course I got weird looks from the early workers driving around in vans wondering what the eff that asian girl is doing in the parking lot.
Back to sleep I go. Although I do admit I enjoyed the peace and quiet of shooting in the morning—new found habit? Unlikely. Will I be posting more outfits? Hopefully.
